Born in the U.S.V.I. and raised in York, Pennsylvania, Thorne McFarlane is a poet, essayist, former journalist, and aspiring author. His writing focuses on political philosophy and ethics.

Thorne is particularly passionate about preserving the humanities as an important vehicle for deepening human understanding. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in political communication at Johns Hopkins University.

Hobbies: Reading, writing poetry, watching debates.
Interests: Ethics, political philosophy, social sciences.
